MOUNT PLEASANT, SC, September 02, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Matt Toresco has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Toresco has built his career on a steadfast commitment to patient advocacy and engagement, establishing himself as an expert in the field. Since 2023, he has served as founder and chief executive officer of Archo Advocacy in Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, he works primarily with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, activating market research and guiding organizations on how to engage patient populations. He leverages research insights to help companies maximize the impact of patient stories and better understand the daily challenges patients face.

Before founding Archo Advocacy, Mr. Toresco spent 2016 to 2023 at The Brooks Group, Inc., also based in Charleston, where he rose through several leadership positions and launched the market research that advanced the importance of patient voices within healthcare systems. As partner, chief commercial officer, and chief patient officer from 2021 to 2023, he shaped the firm's learning and development initiatives alongside its patient advocacy efforts. From 2020 to 2021, he served as partner and executive vice president of learning and development and patient advocacy, a role he first held earlier in 2020 before his promotion to partner. Between 2016 and 2020, he was vice president of account management and business processes training, deepening his expertise in organizational development.

Since 2018, Mr. Toresco has also advised numerous nonprofit healthcare organizations, providing strategic guidance as they navigate growing demand for patient support against shrinking budgets.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Toresco held roles that deepened his understanding of patient needs and healthcare delivery. He served as a national field sales trainer at Counsyl from 2014 to 2016 after working there as a clinical account executive from 2011 to 2014. At Genzyme Genetics, he worked as a territory manager from 2010 to 2011. His experience also includes serving as a neuroscience primary care sales representative at Eli Lilly and Company from 2008 to 2010 and as an associate market analyst for competitive intelligence at ImClone Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Eli Lilly and Company, from 2007 to 2008.

Mr. Toresco counts his TED Talk on the power of patient advocacy, which garnered more than one million views within six months, among his proudest milestones. The talk reflects his dedication to amplifying patient voices on a global stage. He has also maintained membership in the Life Sciences Trainers & Educators Network since 2016.

Mr. Toresco earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from The Ohio State University in Columbus in 2007, building the scientific foundation that has informed his approach to patient advocacy throughout his career. He has also pursued professional certifications that strengthen his leadership capabilities, including The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team Powered by Wiley (2020) and certification as an Everything DiSC Certified Partner from Everything DiSC: A Wiley Brand (2020). These credentials have supported his ability to build effective teams and drive organizational change.

Resilience and self-trust have been central to Mr. Toresco's success. Personal experience shaped his path into patient advocacy: he broke his neck playing lacrosse in 2005 and endured years of chronic pain while healthcare professionals dismissed his concerns. That experience led him to champion the patient voice and lived experience as vital elements within healthcare systems.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Toresco has demonstrated a strong commitment to civic engagement and community service. In 2026, he co-founded We The Patients in Mount Pleasant and joined the board of PlusInc. From 2024 to 2026, he served as an executive board member for The HEART First Foundation in Telluride, Colorado. Since 2023, he has served as a public board member for the Patient Advocate Certification Board Inc., and he has sat on the board of A Life in a Day since 2022.

His previous roles include executive board member for the SYNGAP1 Foundation from 2022 to 2024, volunteer at Flemington Children's Shelter, and volunteer lacrosse coach with Toms River Youth Lacrosse. These commitments underscore his dedication to supporting vulnerable populations and fostering youth development.

Mr. Toresco has earned several honors, including recognition as a Global Public Speaker of Distinction by Cover Entrepreneur in 2025, the Counsyl Above and Beyond Award in 2015, and the Counsyl Vital Award in 2014.

He also remains active as an author and content creator. His book, Unseen: One Man's Fight Through Pain, Silence, and the System, explores personal experiences within healthcare advocacy. Since 2025, he has served as founder and chief storyteller at Matt Toresco, LLC in Charleston, South Carolina. He launched the podcast Building the Noise with Matt Toresco in 2022.

Born in Livingston, New Jersey, Mr. Toresco values family life with his wife, Amy, whom he married in August 2010, and their children, Maddy and Lilly. He enjoys spending time with family, staying involved at Amy's dance and theater studio, Stage Door Arts Academy, which she founded in January 2026, and helping young athletes develop their skills.

Looking ahead, Mr. Toresco aims to ensure every patient knows they never have to navigate the healthcare system alone, highlighting available resources and solutions while continuing to grow his business at its current momentum. He remains focused on encouraging healthcare organizations to recognize that actively engaging patients benefits both the individuals seeking care and organizational performance.
