In 2025, Mr. Rueda founded FutureGEN Security, where he serves as chief executive officer. In this capacity, he leads the organization by engaging directly with clients to understand their business and technology needs, assess ongoing projects and identify challenges that require intervention. His approach involves collaborating with senior leadership to address concerns and ensure client satisfaction while prioritizing continuous learning and effective delivery of commitments.

Prior to establishing FutureGEN Security, Mr. Rueda was managing director and global head of technology resiliency at Wells Fargo from 2023 to 2025. During his tenure, he achieved a significant milestone by securing a major regulatory agreement for cyber resiliency under challenging circumstances. Despite facing a combative regulatory environment and limited board support for technological investment, he successfully obtained an open budget that enabled transformative improvements. Notably, he reduced the time required to deploy a node from up to 90 days to mere minutes using Terraform. He enhanced the data lifecycle process by improving backup and restore capabilities.

From 2022 to 2023, Mr. Rueda served as senior vice president and global head of exercise strategy, design, planning and execution at Wells Fargo. In this role, he developed Seer, an innovative, patented historical data lake and predictive analytics tool. Seer empowers users to run war games with historical data, providing actionable insights into potential outcomes and guidance on upgrades that deliver immediate return on investment.

Between 2021 and 2022, Mr. Rueda was executive director of information security management for corporate and consumer banking at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where he aligned security initiatives with regulatory requirements and organizational objectives. From 2015 to 2021, he served as vice president and global head of risk and resiliency within global technology infrastructure at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where he secured a major regulatory agreement on cyber resiliency by leveraging the company's robust technological foundation.

Earlier in his career at JPMorgan Chase & Co., Mr. Rueda was vice president and IT portfolio manager from 2011 to 2014, overseeing critical technology projects that supported business continuity and operational resilience.

In 2010, Mr. Rueda contributed as a senior project management consultant at Dun & Bradstreet, followed by his role as director of business continuity consulting at EMC from 2008 to 2010. At EMC, he provided strategic guidance on disaster recovery planning for enterprise clients.

From 2004 to 2008, Mr. Rueda was vice president and global technology recovery manager at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, where he led efforts to enhance the institution's disaster recovery capabilities.

His earlier roles include assistant director and senior system engineer at T-Mobile in 2003 to 2004; senior systems engineer at SAIC in 2003; project coordinator at Rothstein Kass KPMG LLP in 2003; senior NT systems engineer at Lord Abbett & Co. LLC in 2002; lead systems engineer at CheckFree Investment Services from 2000 to 2002; senior systems administrator at Bear Stearns from 1999 to 2000; technical support specialist at Eng-Wong Taub & Associates from 1998 to 1999; and desktop support manager at Ideal Data Inc. from 1993 to 1998.

Throughout his career, Mr. Rueda has demonstrated a commitment to professional development. He is a practitioner of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and has practiced CrossFit for thirteen years—disciplines that reflect his dedication to health, resilience and continuous improvement.

Mr. Rueda is an active member of the HITECH Foundation and has served in advisory capacities across several organizations. Since 2018, he has been an advisory board member for Saint Peter's University. He also holds a leadership role with JPMorgan Chase & Co., beginning in 2015, and serves on the board of advisors for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund.

His achievements have been recognized with several honors, including being named one of the Top 100 Most Influential Hispanic Information Technology Executives in the World in 2025 and receiving the HITEC 100 Award from HITEC in 2024.

Mr. Rueda's academic background includes earning a Bachelor of Science degree in management information systems from New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark in 2001. His education provided a strong foundation for his expertise in integrating technology solutions with business objectives.

He has further distinguished himself through professional certifications, such as completion of the HITEC-KPMG Board Readiness Program from HITEC in 2025; certified business continuity planner designation from Disaster Recovery Institute International in 2007; Cisco certified network associate credential from Cisco in 2002; Microsoft certified systems engineer certification from Microsoft in 1997; and certified information systems security professional designation from ISACA.

Mr. Rueda attributes his success to an unwavering work ethic shaped by early experiences overcoming adversity as a Hispanic individual. He credits his mother, Linda Ferreira, for instilling entrepreneurial values that guided him throughout his career—treating every organization as if it were his own business—and acknowledges his wife, Carolyn Comparato, assistant general counsel of Con Edison, as a source of inspiration, along with their son.

Born in Livingston, Mr. Rueda enjoys spending time with family, coaching his son's ice hockey games, pursuing health and fitness activities with his wife, such as CrossFit and swimming, and hosting barbecues with friends.
