SAN DIEGO, CA, September 08, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Britt McElroy has been recognized for achievement in medical sales, marketing and business leadership.
Marked by two decades of experience in strategic account development within the healthcare sector, Mrs. McElroy currently serves as the Southwest District manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where she is responsible for coaching and developing sales representatives through field rides, performing territory reviews and providing ongoing performance support. Her duties include training and onboarding new hires, tailoring development plans to accommodate varying experience levels across her team, and partnering with laboratory organizations to foster collaboration and support long-term business objectives.
Additionally, Mrs. McElroy coordinates with internal laboratory and device teams to support the Phadia platform. Collaborating with business development executives and cross-functional stakeholders to align sales efforts and market strategy, she analyzes territory and performance data to identify growth opportunities and guides their subsequent planning and execution. Her leadership is further demonstrated through strategic decision making informed by market insights, engaging with partners and providing comprehensive team coaching.
Prior to joining Thermo Fisher Scientific, Mrs. McElroy held several key positions at Pinnacle Biologics, Inc., beginning as a regional business manager for the West region from 2022 to 2024 before advancing to become an executive regional business manager in 2024. Over her four-year tenure, she managed operations across 17 states on the West Coast and oversaw field sales activities, supported cancer treatment modalities for non-small cell lung cancer and esophageal cancer, and collaborated with leading thoracic surgeons and interventional pulmonologists across the United States.
The impact of Mrs. McElroy's work at Pinnacle was deeply important to her, as she often participated in critical patient care discussions and reviewed the best treatment options for oncology patients with medical professionals. Although extensive travel was required — she found great fulfillment in witnessing the positive outcomes of innovative cancer therapies on the lives of patients and their families.
Earlier in her career, Mrs. McElroy worked for the health product manufacturer Reckitt, where she progressed from respiratory sales specialist to senior medical sales representative, ultimately becoming an institutional regional account manager for the West. She was recognized for her creativity and drive, earning both the Visionary Award and the Grit Award in 2021; the Visionary Award was particularly meaningful for her as it reinforced her commitment to innovation and improvement within the organization. She consistently contributed fresh ideas — some of which were adopted while others served as learning opportunities — and appreciated Reckitt's openness to exploring new concepts.
Mrs. McElroy's entry into sales began at Wax Research Inc., where she worked as a marketing specialist and new business coordinator from 2017 to 2018. In this innovative role, she developed new business channels and collaborated with professional sports organizations in the National Hockey League (NHL) and Major League Baseball (MLB) to create specialized wax products.
Before transitioning into sales, Mrs. McElroy built a strong foundation in healthcare through various clinical roles. At Tri-City Medical Center from 2015 to 2017, she provided care for forensic patients — many of whom were incarcerated, which prompted her to reevaluate her career path due to the emotional demands of the position. She also served as a basic life support instructor at Anne Arundel Medical Center from 2009 to 2018, sharing essential lifesaving skills and testing for certification-level training through the American Heart Association.
Mrs. McElroy's earliest professional experiences include working as a postpartum patient care technician II at Anne Arundel Medical Center from 2006 to 2011, during which she provided direct care for postpartum mothers and newborns beginning at age 17. Additionally, she spent four years as a medical assistant at Patient First while gaining foundational experience in urgent care settings.
Hailing from an equally accomplished academic background, Mrs. McElroy earned a bachelor's degree in integrated marketing and communications from National University in 2018 as well as an associate degree at Anne Arundel Community College in 2010. She graduated as Magna Cum Laude and was inducted into the Sigma Beta Delta, international scholastic honor society that recognizes academic excellence in business, management, and administration, offering lifetime membership to top-performing students.
In addition to her formal degrees, Mrs. McElroy has pursued numerous certifications that have enhanced her leadership capabilities and industry knowledge, including LinkedIn courses in project management, strategic thinking, virtual selling and public speaking, and John's Hopkins course, Understanding Cancer Metastasis. She also completed Google Analytics training through Lynda.com and was certified as a basic life support (BLS) instructor by the American Heart Association in 2006.
Reflecting on her storied journey to date, Mrs. McElroy attributes the meaningful connections she maintains with her family as central to her success. As a mother of six children — she has always prioritized setting an example through perseverance and achievement. Conversations about college with her oldest son inspired her own commitment to completing higher education so that she could continue to lead by example for all her children.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Mrs. McElroy became a volunteer for Crisis Text Line beginning in 2026 to provide vital support for those facing mental health challenges. Happily married and a devoted mother, she enjoys driving her children to football and cheerleading practice, reading extensively and enrolling in additional courses to expand her knowledge base.
Looking toward the future, Mrs. McElroy seeks continued advancement within Thermo Fisher Scientific with hopes of taking on broader managerial responsibilities across the United States. Her life and career reflect not only expertise and leadership but also her adaptability across healthcare and coaching disciplines, all while maintaining an unwavering commitment to personal growth, family values and community service.
