CLERMONT, FL, September 14, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Aaron Nicholson has been recognized for achievement in sports performance, physical therapy and rehabilitation services.

Mr. Nicholson's distinguished career in physical therapy and athletic performance spans more than three decades, marked by a commitment to advancing patient care and fostering athletic development. Since 2019, he has owned Athletix Sports Performance in Clermont, Florida, where he provides individualized fitness training and athletic conditioning.

Through this venture, Mr. Nicholson connects rehabilitation with lifelong fitness, offering specialized services such as golf performance training, movement screening, mobility and strength development, balance and conditioning, and tailored programs for individuals managing orthopedic or general physical limitations. His expertise in improving physical function, mobility, and strength, managing injuries, and integrating physical therapy with fitness training has established him as a leader in his field.

Additionally, Mr. Nicholson has been a physical therapist assistant at Orlando Health South Lake Hospital Outpatient Rehabilitation since 2017. In this role, he delivers patient care across a broad spectrum of diagnoses and age groups. His caseload primarily includes post-operative joint replacements, spinal surgeries, arthroscopic procedures, neurological dysfunctions, and chronic pain. He typically manages 12 to 14 patients daily over four 10-hour days each week.

In 2021, Mr. Nicholson developed a golf performance and rehabilitation program for Orlando Health South Lake Hospital Outpatient Rehabilitation that continues to benefit patients seeking to safely return to golf after surgery. Since becoming certified through the Titleist Performance Institute in 2019, he has also provided golf performance training for junior golfers throughout their on- and off-season.

Prior to these roles, Mr. Nicholson worked as a physical therapist assistant at Florida Hospital — now AdventHealth — in Tavares from 2016 to 2017. There, he focused on providing physical therapy and home health care services to Medicare patients. Between 2006 and 2016, he held the dual role of marketing manager and physical therapist assistant at Rehab G.V., Inc., where he contributed both clinical expertise and business acumen. Previously, from 2005 to 2007, he owned Online Fitness Plus & USANA Health Sciences, expanding his reach globally in fitness consulting.

From 2004 to 2005, Mr. Nicholson served as manager of sales and marketing at ForeverLawn, Inc., and previously held a position as a physical therapy assistant at Akron General Hospital Sports & PT between 2003 and 2004. Earlier in his career, he managed sales, marketing, and business operations at Today's Touch Spa from 2002 to 2003.

Throughout his professional journey, Mr. Nicholson has remained dedicated to mentoring future clinicians as a clinical instructor for approximately 30 years across outpatient, long-term care, and hospital-based settings. He is a former member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Among Mr. Nicholson's proudest achievements is sustaining a career in rehabilitation for more than 30 years while expanding his expertise and responsibilities within the field. He also takes pride in founding Athletix Sports Performance, earning certification as a Titleist Performance Institute coach, and developing the golf performance and rehabilitation program at Orlando Health South Lake Hospital Outpatient Rehabilitation. Above all, he values guiding patients from initial assessment through successful recovery or athletic achievement.

Mr. Nicholson's educational background has played an essential role in shaping his multifaceted career. He earned a Master of Business Administration, with a focus on leadership, business management and development, from Western Governors University in 2026 while balancing full-time work, running his business, and raising a family. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in business management from Ursuline College in 2004 and received an Associate of Applied Science in physical therapy assisting from Kent State University in 1994.

Additionally, Mr. Nicholson is a licensed physical therapist assistant with the State of Florida through 2027; a Level 1 Titleist Performance Institute instructor/coach since January 2019; and a Levels 1–3 SuperSpeed Golf instructor/coach through SuperSpeed Golf since 2023, with that certification also running through 2027. He also maintains Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals certification through the American Heart Association through 2027.

Family has served as the bedrock of Mr. Nicholson's success, anchored by the steadfast support of his wife, their two sons, his mother, and his two sisters' families throughout his personal and professional journey. This personal foundation is closely reinforced by a diverse network of career and academic relationships built through collaboration with colleagues, support groups, academic mentors, former clinical instructors, and seasoned managers who have provided direction and constructive feedback over the years.

Beyond his professional commitments, Mr. Nicholson has contributed to his community by volunteering at South Lake Hospital in Clermont and other local organizations. When his children were younger, he helped coach soccer with the Clermont Football Club after the club approached him around 2017 to design summer conditioning programs for teams preparing for higher-level competition — an experience that inspired him to expand into team fitness training and sports conditioning for athletes throughout Central Florida.

Mr. Nicholson's accomplishments have been recognized with several honors, including an Excellence Award for Ethical Leadership during graduate studies as well as an Akron General Hospital Award in 2004. In addition to authoring and presenting research at the Orlando Health Rehab Symposium Research Project in 2022 — where he presented on the importance of golf performance training for addressing back injury prevention in athletes — Mr. Nicholson continues to contribute to thought leadership in his specialty.

Born in East Liverpool, Ohio, Mr. Nicholson enjoys fitness training, playing all sports, mostly basketball, baseball, and golf; occasional yard work, landscaping, woodworking, and guitar playing outside of work. Looking ahead, Mr. Nicholson plans to build on his newly earned MBA by growing Athletix Sports Performance and seeking the right fit that combines his skills across healthcare, sports performance, and business. He is also considering executive leadership or administrative opportunities within or even outside of healthcare organizations, where he could blend clinical expertise with business leadership.
