MAGGIE VALLEY, NC, September 17, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Karen Zeigler, chief executive officer of Human Scoreā¢, has been recognized by Marquis Who's Who for achievement in strategic management services. Her work centers on helping organizations understand how the conditions they create for employees shape business performance and how those conditions can be redesigned to benefit both people and the organization.
Established in 2025, Human Score grew from a collaboration among members of the Octopus Movement, an international community of nonlinear thinkers. Its three-person team: co-founder Perry Knoppert, also founder of The Octopus Movement; CEO Karen Zeigler; and co-founder Clif P. Lewis, PhD- brought complementary strengths in creative thinking, human-centered organizational design, and scientific research.
Knoppert proposed the original concept, drawing inspiration from the Nutri-Score food-labeling system used in Europe: could a similarly accessible score help people understand how human-centered an organization is? Through their collaboration, the team developed that idea into Human Score, combining Knoppert's vision, Zeigler's design thinking and business leadership, and Lewis's academic rigor.
As chief science officer, Lewis leads Human Score's research methodology, measurement framework, and data science strategy. He holds a PhD from Queen Mary University of London, a master's degree in industrial psychology from the University of Pretoria, and a Master of Laws in cyber law from the University of the Western Cape. His interdisciplinary background informs the platform's approach to translating employee experience into structured, actionable organizational intelligence.
Human Score assesses five dimensions: work design, organizational structure, organizational culture, fairness, and decision-making. Its diagnostic and dashboard help leaders identify the organizational conditions shaping employee experience, prioritize improvements, and track change over time. The aim is to make human-centered leadership measurable and practical, connecting everyday working conditions with opportunities to reduce risk and create value within organizations.
As CEO, Zeigler leads the company's strategy, market development, and consultant collective. Her approach connects diagnosis with action: understanding what shapes work provides a foundation for redesigning it.
That focus also informs Human + AI Workforce Mapping: How to Create a Workplace Renaissance, an educational offering that helps organizations consider how human capabilities and artificial intelligence can work together. Zeigler's emphasis is on designing work in which AI empowers people and strengthens their contribution.
Her speaking engagements have included 2026 AI Week and the 2025 Neurodiversity Summit in Davos, Switzerland, held during the World Economic Forum's annual meeting. At the summit, she participated as a speaker, contributing her perspective on human-centered work and the value of different ways of thinking.
Alongside Human Score, Zeigler leads Designed for Innovation, where she has worked as a strategic adviser and human-centered design consultant since 2019. She applies design thinking to organizational challenges and leadership development, beginning with a clear understanding of the problem and the perspectives of the people experiencing it. Her earlier career in banking and investment advising provides a foundation in business performance and the realities of organizational change.
Looking ahead, Zeigler and her co-founders are focused on helping leaders turn human-centered intentions into observable improvements. Their shared vision is a workplace where trust, fairness, creativity, and individual strengths are supported by the way the organization operates.
