Mr. Rosseland's professional journey of more than three decades reflects his steadfast commitment to the maritime shipping industry. Since 2026, he has served as managing director of Stratus Shipping, reestablishing the business under an independent brand following its original five-year operation beginning in 1999. In this capacity, he manages client relationships, provides tailored brokerage services, and arranges the transportation of liquid and gaseous chemicals worldwide.

Mr. Rosseland's responsibilities include serving the logistical needs of traders, oil companies, chemical producers and distributors; coordinating international and U.S.-flag transportation services; and overseeing Jones Act-related maritime transportation and brokerage activities. Drawing on more than three decades of industry experience, he helps clients navigate complex transportation requirements while developing commercially effective shipping solutions.

From 2004 to 2026, Mr. Rosseland served as managing director at Simpson Spence Young Ltd. During his two-decade tenure, he rose to become co-global leader of the chemical department and played an important role in the department's strategic direction, client development and continued growth.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Rosseland joined Cambridge Partners in Manhattan, New York, in 1998. The hedge fund specialized in financing ship construction for major oil companies and was involved in developing ethylene-capable gas carriers for what would become the Navigator fleet. Hired to lead the commercial department, he oversaw the commercial operations of these vessels during an important period in the company's development.

Before joining Cambridge Partners, Mr. Rosseland worked at NETCO after relocating to the United States from Denmark in 1990. There, under the leadership of Kevin O'Hara, he developed his career as a competitive shipbroker, building his knowledge of chartering, commercial negotiations and international shipping markets.

Mr. Rosseland began his maritime career at Amali Chartering in Copenhagen, Denmark, where he spent two years as a trainee following his education. His early responsibilities provided hands-on experience in vessel operations and ship agency work, including coordinating vessel movements in Copenhagen Harbor. This practical foundation gave him an understanding of shipping from both the operational and commercial sides of the business and helped prepare him for his subsequent career in shipbroking.

Throughout his career, Mr. Rosseland has placed particular emphasis on building lasting relationships with clients. Among his proudest professional accomplishments is the trust he has developed over decades in the industry. Mr. Rosseland completed his academic studies at Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College. In his personal life, Mr. Rosseland is happily married to Kathleen, a retired oncology nurse and energy trader. Today, she devotes much of her time to their family, managing the children's busy schedules, activities, sports and travel. Together, they are dedicated to supporting their children in pursuing their individual interests and ambitions. Their daughter is a ranked competitive tennis player, and both parents remain actively involved in their children's activities and development.
