Among his most significant achievements is his representation in a marriage case that lasted 18 years, involving an African American Vietnam War veteran and his Cambodian wife. Mr. Wang guided the case from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services agency to the Board of Immigration Appeals and ultimately to the Federal District Court. His efforts resulted in a favorable court ruling that granted the widow and her three children marital status and green cards, allowing them to remain in the United States. This outcome stands as a testament to his dedication and expertise in navigating complex immigration matters.

Before establishing Wanglaw, Mr. Wang was in private practice in Cincinnati from 1982 to 1985, where he further honed his legal skills. In addition to his private practice, he served as vice president and general counsel for Environmental Enterprises Inc. in Cincinnati in 1988, providing legal oversight within the environmental industry. From 1985 to 1988, Mr. Wang worked as a compliance officer for the United States Department of Labor in Cincinnati, contributing to regulatory compliance and enforcement of toxic chemicals in the workplace.

Before transitioning fully into law, Mr. Wang built a foundation in chemical engineering. He was employed as a chemical engineer at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health in Cincinnati from 1981 to 1984, following an earlier role at Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati from 1979 to 1981. These positions provided him with technical expertise that has informed his approach to both industrial hygiene and legal practice.

In academia, Mr. Wang contributed as an adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati where he taught compliance with business regulations for 10 years until 1996.

Mr. Wang earned a Juris Doctor from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University in 1982, equipping him with the credentials necessary for his legal career. He also holds a Master of Business Administration in international business from Xavier University, completed in 1979, and a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and economics from the University of Delaware, awarded in 1977. His commitment to continued learning is reflected in postgraduate studies at the University of Cincinnati in 1989 and the Charleston Darwin University (formerly Northern Territory University in Australia in 1999 where in earned an LLM in Comparative Law with an emphasis of the Islamic kegal systens in Southeast Asia.

His professional qualifications include recognition as a diplomate by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene and certification as a certified industrial hygienist. Mr. Wang is admitted to practice before several courts: including the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio (1983), the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky (1983), the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit (1983) and the Ninth Circuit (2026) and the Ohio Bar (1982). He is admitted to the United States Supreme Court since 2012.

Throughout his career, Mr. Wang has been active in professional organizations such as the American Academy of Industrial Hygiene, American Institute of Chemical Engineers, and American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists. He also served as president of the Chinese American Association Cincinnati from 1987 to 1988.

His civic engagement includes serving as a former board member of the Red Cross Cincinnati Chapter and participating in the Cincinnatus Association, reflecting his dedication to community service beyond his professional obligations. He was appointed to multiple terms by the Mayor to the Cincinnati Human Relations Commission and in 2014 served as president.

Mr. Wang's contributions include authorship and thought leadership in his fields of expertise. He authored "How to Manage Workplace Derived Hazards and Avoid Liability" in 1987 and published the OSHA Compliance & Management Handbook in 1991. Additionally, he served as an associate editor of the Northern Kentucky Law Review from 1980 to 1982 and has contributed numerous articles to professional journals.
