That same year, she competed in her first World Cup qualifier, a meter 60 class, where she was the youngest competitor. These achievements marked her early rise in the sport and set the foundation for her ongoing pursuit of excellence from 5-star competitions to developing young horses. Ms. Liu is steadily working her way up the world rankings and continues to compete at elite events. Beginning at age seven, she has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to equestrianism that has shaped her expertise and reputation within the field.

Academically, Ms. Liu earned a bachelor's degree in cognitive science with a minor in forensics from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles in 2024, graduating magna cum laude while running a business full time. Initially intending to pursue a pre-med track with aspirations of entering psychiatry, she shifted her focus during the COVID-19 pandemic when remote learning allowed her to spend more time at the barn. This period solidified her decision to make riding her profession. Her academic background has proven valuable in understanding both horse behavior and client needs within her business.

Family support has played a crucial role in Ms. Liu's journey. She credits her parents for enabling her participation in an expensive sport and acknowledges the encouragement provided by her grandparents, particularly her grandfather, who consistently watches her competitions. Her family's immigrant background and stories of perseverance—especially those of her maternal grandfather who built a major company from scratch—have inspired Ms. Liu's dedication to building a legacy within equestrian sport. Both of her grandparents grew up in very small towns in Inner Mongolia and built themselves up from humble beginnings.

Legacy also holds deep meaning for Ms. Liu, as reflected in Corsari Equestrian's name and mission. The business is named after Corsari van de Helle aka "Cori", the horse with which she won her first Grand Prix—an animal that represented an irreplaceable bond and whose memory is honored throughout the company's branding and culture. One of Ms. Liu's most rewarding experiences involved mentoring a student, who transformed an initially uncooperative horse into a youth team champion through perseverance and dedication. Moments like these underscore Ms. Liu's commitment not only to competitive success but also to fostering growth and achievement among her students.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Ms. Liu is civically engaged through volunteer work with Move a Child Higher (MACH1), where she assists with hippotherapy for autistic children, and Just World International, where she contributes as a volunteer.
