/24-7PressRelease/ - Bend, OR, June 28, 2008, Heather Barklow, Head Wrangler and Equine Director for Rock Springs Guest Ranch, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of ranching and equestrianism.

Mrs. Barklow has 15 years of industry experience during which she has developed an expertise in managing operations and wranglers and handling many different types of horses. On a daily basis she is responsible for managing wranglers and horses, feeding horses, arranging vet visits, grooming, ordering supplies, and offering riding courses for visitors and clients. Rock Springs Guest Ranch is a guest ranch that offers horseback riding, serves as a meeting and events venue, provides high ropes and challenge course facilities, and hosts family reunions, banquets, vacations and special events.

Mrs. Barlow recently started her own Equine based business, Equine Connections, LLC, which focuses on therapy, instruction, appraisal, brokering, consulting, Reiki, and acupressure. In 2007, Mrs. Barklow appeared in the Central Oregon Horse Journal, and was featured in a documentary program profiling unique lifestyle jobs called "NW Style." She attributes her success to her perseverance and her love for her profession.

In addition to holding a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Sociology and Philosophy from Oregon State University, she was also a member of the Memorial Union Program Council and a recipient of the Best Spring Event Award. In the future, Mrs. Barklow aspires to finish her Reiki master's training and equine acupressure certificate as she plans to use horse-related therapies to help horses and humans, alike.
