Ms. Laurent excels in implementing information technology. Her responsibilities include supervising employees, and preparing reports for police officers, and detectives for court matters. Prior to her current position, Ms. Laurent worked as a recreational aide, typist clerk II and typist clerk III in various departments for the City of Miami, and as a cashier for a gas company. She stays current with the trends in her profession by attending training programs. Ms. Laurent attributes her success to the support she receives from her family and considers attaining her current position to be her greatest professional accomplishment.

Ms. Laurent earned an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Information Technology from Miami Dade College in 2005. She was listed in Who's Who Among American High School Students in 1999. In five years, Ms. Laurent hopes to complete her bachelor's degree and pursue a career in network or database administration.
