Ms. Edwards has 21 years of experience in nursing where her areas of practice include providing perinatal, homecare and pediatric nursing services as well as diabetic education and quality assurance. Ms. Edwards has worked the last 16 years as a Nurse Recruiter, ten years at the University of Alabama Hospital and currently at Children's Health System, both in
Birmingham, Alabama.

Ms. Edwards received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama in Mobile in 1987. She is a member of the National Association for Health Care Recruitment, and the Central Alabama Association, where she has served as both President and Vice President. She is a member of the Children's Health System Research Council, Retention Committee, Magnet Ambassador Committee, Capital Campaign Committee and Nurse's Week Committee.
