/24-7PressRelease/ - Cheyenne, WY, August 2, 2008, Dr. Elzbieta Kubicz, Chemistry Unit Leader for the Wyoming State Crime Laboratory, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of laboratory management.

Wyoming State Crime Laboratory is a full-service forensic laboratory tasked with performing forensic examinations on physical evidence submitted by criminal justice agencies. As the chemistry unit leader, Dr. Kubicz utilizes 13 years of professional experience in forensic chemistry and toxicology to perform a variety of responsibilities, which include analyzing drugs, assigning cases to chemists, budgeting, overseeing quality assurance, and testifying in court. She became involved in her profession because of her fascination with research, and attributes her success to her perseverance and ability to face challenges.

Dr. Kubicz received her Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the Technical University of Poland in 1990. She is affiliated with the Toxicology Section of the American Academy of Forensic Science. Away from the laboratory, she trains law enforcement officers at the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy.
