Ms. Guillen began her career in education in 2007, motivated by a lifelong passion for teaching. She specializes in English literature and creative writing, and is responsible for teaching English and social studies to students in the fourth and fifth grades. In the course of her short career, she managed to help a Spanish-speaking student pass English with flying colors; she considers having her efforts appreciated by this student to be the highlight of her career so far.

A product of the University of Texas, Ms. Guillen earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, with a minor in Creative Writing, in 2007. She is affiliated with the Golden Key International Honour Society. Her goals for the future include continuing to teach and publishing her writing.
