Ms. Brothers has 22 years of professional experience and excels in identifying learning disabilities and reading skills. She is responsible for teaching students with learning disabilities, autism, reading, language, math and English language development for kindergarten through sixth grade and overseeing programs. Prior to her current profession she worked as a kindergarten teacher at Zeyen Elementary School, and as a mentor for Zoophonics and a resource teacher at San Jacinto High School as well as Excelsior Elementary School. The most fulfilling aspect of her career is teaching children.

Ms. Brothers' poems have been published in the World's Greatest Poetry and she has also written articles titled 'Seven Deadly Sins in Education.' She stays current with the trends in her profession by attending trainings and meetings and reading industry-related publications. She works hard to overcome the problems of NCLB in teaching by raising awareness among teachers that every child is important.

Ms. Brothers earned her Master of Arts in School Counseling from the University of La Verne in 1988, her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California in 1978. She has received Spirit of The League Award from the Junior League of Orange County California, Inc. and "The Who" award from the Garden Grove Education Association. She is affiliated with Gamma Tau Gamma of Alpha Chi Omega and the Junior League of Orange County.
