With more than 25 years of professional experience in law enforcement, Ms. Franklin specializes in patrolling. Her primary responsibilities as police officer include photographing and sketching crime scenes, overseeing the warrant division, scheduling assignments, teaching patrol procedures and SWAT tactics, conducting wellness programs, training in firearms, investigating crimes, and fighting domestic violence. Additionally, she serves as a patrol sergeant, squad leader, homicide sketch officer, and third in-command, and has also been training Iraqi police forces for the last two years. A recipient of the Officer of the Year Award, Ms. Franklin has been recognized by Who's Who Among American High School Students and Who's Who Among College Students. She attributes her success to her parents' support.

In addition to industry-related training, Ms. Franklin received her Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry in 1985 and her Associate's Degree in Sports Science from the University of Houston in 1992. She is a member of the Texas Peace Officers Association and the National Physique Committee. An active practitioner of sports science, physical therapy, and nutrition training, Ms. Franklin aspires to open her own wellness center, as well as venture into inspirational speaking in the future.
