Paulina, LA, August 14, 2008, Effie R. Waguespack, Teacher at Paulina Elementary School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of elementary education.

With more than 28 years of professional experience, Ms. Waguespack specializes in teaching literacy to elementary students. At her current post, she is responsible for mentoring students, supervising teachers and consulting with peers and parents. She became involved in her profession because she was inspired by family members who were educators. Ms. Waguespack finds it particularly rewarding to help students achieve their goals through the use of interdisciplinary teaching methods. She considers receiving national board certification to be the highlight of her career.

Ms. Waguespack obtained a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas Wesleyan University and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Nicholls State University. She is a member of the National Education Association, the Louisiana Association of Educators, Pi Lambda Theta and the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.
