Lorain, OH, August 16, 2008, Barbara A. Kapucinski, Director of Magnet Schools Program at Lorain City Schools, has been recognized as a VIP Member by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of elementary education.

Ms. Kapucinski has more than 31 years of professional experience. Her expertise lies in curriculum development and she is responsible for overseeing the budget, marketing and the professional development of the staff of seven magnet schools. She became involved in her profession because she was inspired by her sixth-grade teacher. Ms. Kapucinski's greatest professional achievement was being the principal of an elementary school, and attributes her success to her ambition, perseverance and to the support she receives from her family. The most fulfilling aspects of her career are watching her students succeed and knowing that she played a small part in their development.

Ms. Kapucinski has written articles that have appeared in for Religion Teacher's Journal and in Today's Catholic Teacher. She received her Master's Degree in Education and Reading from the University of Dayton in 1990 and her Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Notre Dame in 1978. Ms. Kapucinski was recognized by Who's Who Among America's Teachers in 2006 and is a member of the Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.
