Brentwood, NY, August 23, 2008, Alice Lockwood, Vice President of Sweet Dixie Records, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of performing arts.

A classically trained keyboard specialist, Ms. Lockwood excels in composing music and playing the electric keyboard and the piano. She developed a passion for music and credits her courage for her success in her profession in spite of her blindness since birth. Her perseverance, ability to face challenges and the support she receives from her mother and mentors are also the driving forces behind her success. In addition, Ms. Lockwood conducts data testing and fielding to improve products for the blind at Access Technology and Blazie Ltd.

In addition to receiving several awards for her outstanding performance including the International Airplay King Eagle Awards, Ms. Lockwood received the Country Duo of the Year Award in 2003, 2004 and 2005 along with her partner Jeannie Romeo, which she considers to be her greatest professional accomplishment. She also received the Gold and Platinum Awards for her two albums 'Heartfelt' and 'Forever Country,' as well as the Woman of the Year Award in 1989.

Ms. Lockwood is working with Access Technology and Blazie Engineering to create devices for visually impaired people. She is a member of the Long Island Country Music Association and the National Federation of the Blind and often donates to the American Cancer Society. A volunteer with New York City Department of Education, Ms. Lockwood received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Adelphi University.
