With almost 27 years of professional experience, Ms. Smalley excels in mental health and geriatric care and is responsible for overseeing operations including ensuring safety of the residents, directing the staff and preparing paperwork. She became involved in her profession because of her personal experience with her family members who were mentally retarded. The most rewarding aspect of her career is the gratitude she receives from her clients and their families. She considers becoming program supervisor to be her greatest professional accomplishment and attributes her success to her hard work, compassion, patience, and caring nature.

Certified in CPR, Ms. Smalley has completed various training programs on first aid, emergency operations management, sexual abuse investigation, supervisory, fire safety, bloodborne pathogens, and abuse and neglect. She volunteers for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and is a supporter of the Defenders of Wildlife, the Humane Society of the United States and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
