Sturgeon Bay, WI, August 30, 2008, Marjory Stephan Allingham, Director and Head Instructor for Open Door Tae Kwon Do, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of martial arts.

Ms. Allingham has 32 years of professional experience and specializes in teaching martial arts including tae kwon do, self-defense, modern arnis and bojutsu. She has been in her current position for 11 years. She previously worked as a physical education and biology teacher and considers hard work, dedication and her love for her profession and children are the driving forces behind her success. The most gratifying aspect of her career is being able to make a difference in the lives of others.

The influence Ms. Allingham received from her children who learned tae kwon do classes, motivated her to become involved in her profession. She wanted to be a black belt instructor after her second tae kwon do class and started working towards her teaching goal. She conducted classes in four different languages and worked with many students from different areas that make up present day Germany. She believes in the principles such as courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit.

A member of the National Women's Martial Arts Federation and the Association of Women Martial Arts Instructors, Ms. Allingham received the Sixth Degree Black Belt and the Commendation Plate Award. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Physical Education from Carroll College. She sits on the board of directors for Miller Art Museum and the Door County Art League and volunteers for the Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church.
