With more than 17 years of professional experience, Ms. Baumgardner specializes in editing long-form broadcast documentaries. As video editor and producer/writer, she is responsible for creating strong character-driven stories for all types of programming including science, natural history, and international public policy. Prior to establishing EditAtrix, she worked at The Edit Room, Inc. for eight years. She is known in postproduction for her sound design and speed in the edit suite. A 2008 recipient of a Telly Award for the MSNBC prison series, "Conviction," she was also honored with a 2007 CINE Golden Eagle for her work on "Ms. Adventure" for Animal Planet. Her craft was honored in 2005 when National Geographic Television named her work on "The Perfect Swarm" as their Emmy nominee for Outstanding Editor.

Ms. Baumgardner received her Master's Degree in Film Production from American University in 1989 and her Bachelor of Science in Writing from Syracuse University in 1987. She is a member of Women in Film & Video of Washington, DC and aspires to work on bigger and more prominent projects in the future.
