DEADWOOD, SD, October 9, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Patricia M. Yanzick, Licensed Practical Nurse for Lead-Deadwood Regional Hospital, has been recognized byCambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of nursing.

An employee since 2001, Ms. Yanzick is proud of her association with Lead-Deadwood Regional Hospital, a modest rural hospital that provides a wide array of amenities and availability programs for patients. As licensed practical nurse, she is responsible for precepting LPN nursing students and caring for patients. Prior to taking on her current position, she worked as a youth supervisor for Black Hills Special Services Cooperative, where she worked with male youths undergoing residential drug and alcohol treatment. She also worked as an activities assistant at a local nursing home. Ms. Yanzick stays current with the trends in her profession by enrolling in continuing education courses online and by working with R.N. co-workers.

Ms. Yanzick earned her Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Psychology from Black Hills State University in 1997. She considers becoming an LPN through Western Dakota Technical Institute and receiving its Distinguished Alumni Award in 2007 to be the highlights of her career. She attributes her success to the support she receives from her colleagues. In her spare time, she volunteers with her local community theater.
