With 34 years of professional experience, Mr. Chalfant is an expert in designing and creating jewelry. As proprietor, he trains others in jewelry design and construction and teaches students on a weekly basis. He learned the skill of cutting gemstones from a master Los Angeles jeweler after joining a local rock club and was subsequently inspired to pursue formal training in jewelry making. Mr. Chalfant attributes his success to his formal education and professional training and the guidance he received from his parents. He also writes poetry and is in the process of publishing a book with a colleague.

Mr. Chalfant received his Master of Arts in Anthropology from Columbia University and his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a minor in psychology from Dartmouth College. He holds a certification in adult counseling from the University of California at Los Angeles. Mr. Chalfant sits on the board of directors of the Gem & Mineral Council of the Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History. He aspires to continue teaching the art of jewelry making.
