OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, November 6, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Christy A. Johnson, Owner and Instructor of DMC School of Dance & Music, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in the performing arts.

DMC is a performing arts school dedicated to enhancing the talents of its students. It offers music courses and various dance programs that include hip-hop, jazz, tap and ballet classes. As the owner and one of the chief instructors, Ms. Johnson is responsible for managing the school and its curriculum and instructing students in music and dance. A passionate educator for the last 22 years, she takes a holistic approach to teaching; in addition to teaching dance and music, she also emphasizes raising her students' self-esteem and conducts skincare courses and nutrition classes, wherein she stresses eating healthy meals to stay energized. Ms. Johnson also directs various programs including "Mommy & Me" and adult dance classes, and is proud to see her school featured in Dance Spirit magazine. Ms. Johnson earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from Pittsburg State University in 1989. She is affiliated with the Mastermind Group of Successful Studio Strategies, and counts the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Dancers Against Cancer among her favorite charities.
