ROCKFORD, IL, November 19, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- LeAnne Douglas, Charge Nurse, LPN, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of nursing.

With more than 16 years of professional experience, Ms. Douglas specializes in rehabilitative nursing for geriatric patients. She was responsible for supervising two units, managing all phases of medical care of patients and working with Alzheimer's patients. Her interest in science and her desire to help people inspired her to become a nurse. She previously worked at Willows on Main and was recognized as the Employee of the Year in 1997, which she considers to be the highlight of her career. Currently, Ms. Douglas is a private nurse contractor and maintains a consistent level of success due to her work ethic and the support she receives from her parents, friends and current boss.

Ms. Douglas became a licensed practical nurse through the Rockford School of Practical Nursing in 1992 and completed coursework at Rock Valley College in 1985. She is a member of the North Park Church of Christ. She donates yearly to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Schultz-Lewis Children's Home. In her spare time, she helps out several neighbors by checking their blood pressure.
