SPRINGDALE, AR, December 30, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Linda A. Kendrick, District Case Specialist for the USDA Food Safety & Inspection Service, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of public service.

Recently promoted to district case specialist, Ms. Kendrick has worked with the USDA Food Safety & Inspection Service for over 18 years. In her current position, she is responsible for managing enforcement investigations and consumer complaints, including food recalls of meat, poultry and eggs. She also leads a team to ensure and control the outbreak of E. coli, a species of bacteria that is a threat to food safety. A recipient of the Administrator's Excellence Award, Ms. Kendrick has also been honored with the Outstanding Performance Award and Certificate of Excellence in 2007 and credits her success to her hard work and continuous education.

A certified food safety specialist, Ms. Kendrick attends 48 hours of continued education every year on food safety. She became involved in her profession because of her interest in food science and aspires to become a deputy district manager for the state in the future.
