Mr. Edwards boasts an impressive background that spans 24 years of professional experience, eight of which have been in his current position. As a respiratory therapist at Kings County Hospital Center, his expertise lies in respiratory therapy and he is responsible for educating patients with pulmonary problems. He became involved in his profession because he wanted to help his friends and people in the community who were suffering from asthma. The support and encouragement he receives from his family and his dedication are what he considers to be the keys to his succeess. The highlight of his career was graduating from CUNY The City College.

Mr. Edwards received his Master of Science in Community Health, with a concentration in management from Long Island University, his Bachelor of Arts from the College of Liberal Arts and Science at CUNY The City College with cum laude honors and his Associate of Applied Science from the Borough of Manhattan Community College. He graduated Phi Theta Kappa, Alpha Kappa Chapter, National Honor Fraternity of Community and Junior Colleges. He is a registered respiratory therapist through The National Board for Respiratory Care and a registered respiratory therapist in the State of New York. In addition, he holds certification in pediatric and perinatal respiratory therapy through The National Board for Respiratory Care and is a laboratory technician. Mr. Edwards is a member of the American Association for Respiratory Care, the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (Member #04231378), and Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society. He is the recipient of a certificate of excellence in community health research from Long Island University.
