CAMP WOOD, TX, February 26, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Veronica Ramirez-Maxwell, Physical Therapist Assistant and Director of Rehabilitation at Cedar Hills Geriatric Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of physical therapy.
Mrs. Maxwell has 20 years of professional experience, nine of which have been in her position at Cedar Hills Geriatric Center. At her post, she is responsible for overseeing rehabilitative services, managing the facility and monitoring Medicare billing. She notes that she became interested in her profession while in high school when she had the opportunity to work with children diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Mrs. Maxwell considers assisting paralyzed residents to regain their ability to walk to be the undisputed highlight of her career. She received her Associate Degree in Physical Therapy from St. Philip's College in 1989 and attributes her success to her patience and the support she receives from her family.
