Today, he serves as the director of medical devices for the verification laboratory at VERLAB, Ltd., a meteorological laboratory appointed by the Institute of Meteorology of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the provision of testing and verification of standards and measuring instruments in health care in the field of medical instruments. Considered an industry expert by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Sarajevo, Dr. Badnjevic also serves in educational roles with the institution. In 2015, he took on an additional role as assistant professor for faculty engineering and information technologies at the International Burch University. Driven by his passion for engineering, Dr. Badnjevic was recognized for his tremendous work over the last decade by IEEE and the Bosnia and Herzegovina Medical and Biological Engineering Society.
To prepare for a career in the engineering field, Dr. Badnjevic achieved a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and a Master of Electrical Engineering from the University of Sarajevo in 2008 and 2010, respectively. In 2015, he earned a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Zagreb in Croatia. In support of his career objectives, Dr. Badnjevic continues to professionally develop his skillset through industry conferences, workshops and organization affiliations. In 2013, he was certified by Fluke Biomedical as a biomedical devices expert. He is also distinguished as a medical devices expert by the Institute of Meteorology in Bosnia and Herzegovina. A member of the International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering, Dr. Badnjevic shares his insights and expertise through articles and chapters to medical journals and professional publications and textbooks. As he looks ahead to the future, Dr. Badnjevic intends to continue growing his career by taking on new opportunities in his field.
