LOUISVILLE, KY, January 15, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA) is pleased to announce that Karl Truman of the law firm, Karl Truman Law Office has successfully achieved re-certification as a civil trial advocate. Mr. Truman has been a NBTA member in good standing for 16 years. The NBTA was formed out of a strong conviction that both the law profession and its clients would benefit from an organization designed specifically to create an objective set of standards illustrating an attorney's experience and expertise in the practice of trial law.
Karl Truman is part a growing number of trial attorneys that have illustrated their commitment to bettering the legal profession by successfully completing a rigorous application process and providing the consumer of legal services with an objective measure by which to choose qualified and experienced legal counsel.

Karl Truman earned his undergraduate degree in business administration from The University of Kentucky. He is a graduate of the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at The University of Louisville. Mr. Truman is licensed to practice in Kentucky and Indiana. He retired from the United States Army as a Lieutenant Colonel having served more than 28 years. He is active in many veterans' organizations such as the American Legion Post 203 and AMVETS Post 61. He serves on the Board of Directors for Honor Flight Bluegrass. Other civic associations include the Buckner Masonic Lodge #631, the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis and the Murat Shrine Temple.

He has received numerous awards such as the Indiana Trial Lawyers Consumer Advocate Award for his pro bono work for victims from the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund; the Humanitarian Of the Year Award from the Red Cross and the Personal Counseling Service for his work as an advocate for veterans' causes. Approximately three percent of American lawyers are board certified, and Mr. Truman is a member of a very select group who has taken the time to prove competence in their specialty area and earn board certification.
