Byoung Kyu Lee Celebrates More Than 15 Years of Professional Excellence

    SEOUL, REPUBLIC OF KOREA, January 12, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Byoung Kyu Lee has been included in Marquis Who's Who. With more than 15 years of industry experience to his name, Mr. Lee currently works as a professor of law at Myongji University, a position he has held since 2007. In addition to these responsibilities, he served Myongji University as a department chair for the College of Law from 2014 to 2016. Prior to his present position, Mr. Lee worked as an attorney-at-law through a private practice from 2001 to 2007.

Before his endeavors in the field of law, Mr. Lee pursued an education at Seoul National University, earning a Bachelor of Laws in 1994. He completed his studies at New York University, graduating with a Master of Laws in 2002. Admitted to practice by the Korean Bar Association since 2001, Mr. Lee has been certified as a patent attorney since 2003.

Alongside his notable professional efforts, Mr. Lee has accomplished significantly outside of the courtroom and classroom. Following his graduation from Seoul National University, he enlisted in the Korean Army, where he served from 1994 to 1995. He has also maintained involvement with several organizations related to his field, including the International Association of Korean Lawyers (IAKL), the International Trademark Association (INTA), the International Association of Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), and the International Association for the Advancement of Teaching and Research in Intellectual Property (ATRIP). Additionally, Mr. Lee has contributed articles to such esteemed journals as the Korea Observer and the Journal of the Copyright Society of the USA (JCSUSA).

The proud parent of his daughter, Yerim Lee, alongside his wife, Jee Young Hahn, Mr. Lee has accrued several accolades and honors over the course of his impressive career. He earned a Fulbright Graduate Study Award in 2001, and was recognized as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar by the U.S. Department of State from 2013 to 2014. In 2010, he received the President Award from the Korean Bar Association. Throughout his academic career, he received several Teaching Excellence Awards from Yonsei University, Korea University and Myongji University. Looking toward the future, Mr. Lee hopes to continue teaching law to the next generation and inspire future young professionals in the legal fraternity.
