Choe's HapKiDo Begins Winter Clothes Drive

Martial arts community teams up with Project Live Love!

CUMMING, GA, December 05, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The weather is dropping, and Choe's HapKiDo has teamed up with Project Live Love to participate in their winter clothes drive. For all of December, this martial arts community will be collecting blankets, new athletic socks, sock hats, and warm winter gloves to be later donated to THREE-OH-WE-GO.

THREE-OH-WE-GO is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to aid the homeless during winter. From November through March, the group is on alert of the weather being forecasted below freezing. When there is threat for a huge weather drop, the members gather and hand out warm items and love to the homeless throughout Atlanta.

From HapKiDo Instructor and Project Live Love Board Member RJ LoPresti, "We know it gets cold out there and not everyone has shelter. Just knowing that we can be a part of in taking care of all in our community makes the project more important."

According to the 2015 statistics from the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, the homeless population in Georgia comes to about 14,000 people. And from the Project Live Love community, more than twenty plus homeless die each year from sleeping outside in freezing temperatures.

With all kinds and numbers of communities coming together, the mission to reach the homeless with care and warmth is more possible.
