Concurrency's Johnathon Biersack Named Microsoft MVP for Enterprise Mobility

Concurrency's consulting team includes 10 active Microsoft MVPs

"Johnathon's accomplishment is the gold standard for rapid career progress while genuinely making a difference to clients and our firm," said Kate Weiland, VP of Human Capital at Concurrency.

BROOKFIELD, WI, July 12, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Concurrency, Inc. consultant Johnathon Biersack was named a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for Enterprise Mobility technologies as of July 1, 2016.

Biersack was awarded for his contributions to Microsoft's Enterprise Mobility Suite (EMS) product line. Over the past year he gained wide recognition in EMS technical communities for scripts he wrote and shared publicly to benefit others working in the EMS area. These scripts, which enable convenient configuration of Wi-Fi pre-shared keys on iOS and Android devices, came to be regularly referenced by Microsoft's own Intune support team and were later formally incorporated into official Microsoft Product Support documentation. In addition, Biersack contributed blog and forum posts and participated in TechNet documentation reviews to benefit the wider EMS community.

"Johnathon's accomplishment is the gold standard for rapid career progress while genuinely making a difference to clients and our firm," said Kate Weiland, Vice President of Human Capital at Concurrency. "From Concurrency University to Microsoft MVP in under two years is an incredible accomplishment."

Concurrency is home to 10 Microsoft MVPs, an elite group of experts in Microsoft technologies who are recognized both for their knowledge and active involvement in related technical communities.

Biersack's accomplishment is highly unusual given the short period of time from beginning to learn the technology to being named an MVP. After joining the Concurrency University training program two years ago--coming from a corporate IT systems support job elsewhere and wanting to move to the leading edge of technology--Biersack seized an opportunity to become the firm's go-to expert in the emerging area of EMS technologies.

"I came to Concurrency wanting to see new things and figure them out when no one else has," Biersack said on July 1 after being notified about the MVP award. "I wanted a chance to put a puzzle together without having a picture to work from. EMS gave me an opportunity to do something new, at the intersection of cloud services and many other Microsoft platforms."

Concurrency, with offices in Brookfield, Wisconsin, Chicago and Minneapolis, is a Microsoft Partner of the Year-winning professional services firm serving mid-market to enterprise-sized organizations throughout the Midwest. The firm has been named to both Redmond Channel Partner's new list of "Microsoft's Top 200 U.S. Partners" and CRN's "2016 CRN Solution Provider 500" list.
