Deborah Ann Davenport Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

A dedicated educator, Ms. Davenport has served as a teacher with the Aoy Elementary School for more than two decades. She also previously held the role of teacher with the Alamo Elementary School for nearly 10 years. In recognition of her contributions to elementary education, Ms. Davenport was named Teacher of the Day by El Paso Times in 1998. Throughout the course of her career, she has been featured in a wide range of honors publications, including Who's Who in America and Who's Who of American Women. Ms. Davenport was also selected for inclusion in the 8th edition of Who's Who in American Education, published in 2007.

Prior to pursuing a career in education, Ms. Davenport attended The University of Texas at El Paso, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1984. She completed coursework for kindergarten endorsement in 1990 while serving as a teacher with the Alamo Elementary School. Ms. Davenport later completed a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction at Grand Canyon University in 2007 while working in her current position as a teacher with the Aoy Elementary School.

In an effort to remain active and engaged in the educational community, Ms. Davenport maintains active involvement with a variety of industry-related organizations, including Alpha Delta Kappa, an international honorary organization for women educators focused on building educational excellence, altruism and world understanding through fellowship. Ms. Davenport is the current chapter president and former treasurer of the organization.
