Delphi Boston Elementary and Middle School Students Participate in STEM Workshop

Delphi Boston aims to empower students. Providing them with experiences, like their recent in-class, hands on engineering and technology workshop.

MILTON, MA, January 19, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Every Delphi student thoroughly learns how to learn. To aid students in learning how to learn, Delphi Boston Elementary and Middle School students hosted America's Spectacular Hands-On Educational Centers Top Secret Science. Facilitators came to the school and provided the in-class program for 50 Delphi students on Wednesday, January 11th. The program was one and a half hours long and provided fun hands-on engineering and technology learning.

Michael Bergen, Top Secret Science's Founder and CEO, shared: "In the program, the students learned about what an engineer is and the various types of engineers. We did 5 science experiments where the students learned about magnetism, air pressure, and chemicals. They made and took home 4 of those experiments. I believe they had a lot of fun and definitely learned some new information."

With classes and programs like these, students can learn about various fields and industries. Students will spend most of the day at the Center, exploring and participating in activities. Just a few of the activity areas include: biomechanics, where students utilize hand dynamometers to measure strength; catapults, where students learn about the engineering design process and get an introduction to trajectory physics; and telecommunications, where they will discuss the impact of communication - both verbal and nonverbal - and introduces the various ways in which we communicate with each other on a daily basis. See more information about the student's trip on the Delphi Boston Twitter.
