DETROIT Star Nathan Davis Jr is Hitting the Music Industry Hard

"Recording artist NDJ is drawing interest from Hollywood's heavy hitters in the music industry with his new single "Make Me Say"

LOS ANGELES, CA, December 01, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Los Angeles based Actor/Singer-Songwriter, Nathan Davis Jr. a.k.a. NDJ, has been stirring up the scene. He is catching the eyes (and ears) of some of entertainment's top industry executives. You may have seen him recently in "Marvel Runaways", a Hulu original, as a young tech genius gang member or in Crackles', "StartUp" as a drug selling teen. But his most touching and memorable role was when he played a young non-fictional historical character, Aubrey Pollard, in the American period crime drama film, "Detroit", directed by Oscar winner Kathryn Bigelow.

Insiders have been saying that Nathan's harrowing scenes in "Detroit", along with Star Wars' star, John Boyega, Anthony Mackie(Marvel franchise), Will Poulter(Revenant) and Algee Smith(New Edition) were powerful enough to gain Oscar consideration for the ensemble cast of the film. With the re-release set for December 1st in select theaters, NDJ has been talking about the movie and the correlation between it and his music, "I want to tell the story of how it felt to step back to a time that had such an impact on so many lives, especially mine as a recording artist. That era was the beginning of the rise of greatness. For as long as he can remember the timeless sounds of Motown were part of who he is as an artist; "sounds that make you feel the relevance of the lyrics and the emotion behind them."

Many agree those feelings come through in NDJ's new single "Make Me Say," a remake of Motown's legendary group the, Isley Bros., single "Make Me Say It Again Girl" . " I wanted it to be reminiscent of the original, a romantic song but with a young fresh trendy vibe to make the younger generation fall in love with it. And they have. I initially released the song on my mixtape, "Seven" earlier this year. But the fans demanded I release a music video to it. So I listened."

Keep your eye out for NDJ in his two up coming Christmas movies "Miss Me This Christmas" and "You Can't Fight Christmas" both to premiere on TV one this week. If you thought 2017 was a monumental year for this young entertainer, 2018 starts off with a bang for this young actor. He will be acting in the sci-fi thriller, Hotel Artemis, alongside Jodie Foster & David Bautista (Drew Pearce-Director), guest-starring In BET's new legal drama, "In Contempt", HBO's upcoming American tv drama, "Here, Now " starring Holly Hunter & Tim Robbins (Alan Ball- Creator) and a soon to be announced, hit American comedy tv series on Fox at the top of the year.
