FORT WORTH, TX, January 18, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- If you're looking for an alternative to dinner and a movie for Valentine's Day Weekend 2017, an option that will have her or him holding you extra close, consider two tickets to Fifty Shades of Fear at Hangman's in Fort Worth, TX on Friday, February 10 or Saturday February 11, 2017.

Couples will find out exactly how much they trust each other this Valentine's weekend, thanks in part to Allan Sturgeon, the sinister mastermind behind Hangman's House of Horrors Fifty Shades of Fear Blindfold Challenge.

In the ultimate Fort Worth Valentine's date night, one member of a couple will don a blindfold and trust their better half to guide them safely through the dangers that lurk in Hangman's House of Horrors.

The expanded and totally redone Fort Worth charity haunted house will take about an hour to complete and couples can expect to experience it in smaller groups than they would on Halloween. "The scarers like having the extra time with every couple during our Valentine event," said Allen Sturgeon, the creator of this year's challenge, owner of the attraction, and long-time Hangman's volunteer.

"Without sight, your other four senses get especially keen," says Sturgeon. "A muffled scream, a droplet of warm blood, or the cold breath of the Hangman on the back of your neck, all have a multiplied fear factor when you're blindfolded," he added.

The Fifty Shades of Fear event will be open to brave souls from 8 p.m. to midnight on Friday, February 10, and Saturday February 11. Every couple gets a blindfold to keep and access to Zombie Outbreak and trippy, colorful 3D No Place Like Home. Parking is free and food trucks and a DJ will add to the fun. Cast members will be happy to pose for photos with you and your Valentine.

Admission is $25 per person. Follow Hangman's on Facebook and Instagram for updates on the event. Tickets are available at Hangmans.com and at the venue. A fast pass option is available for those who want to skip the lines. Recorded information about "50 Shades of Fear" and volunteering to be a cast member is available by calling (817) 336-HANG (3426). Net proceeds will be donated to five local charities: American Cancer Society, A Wish with Wings, Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Fort Worth, Safe Haven of Tarrant County, and Victory Therapy Center. 95.9 FM The Ranch is a media partner and sponsors include Mike Carlson Motor Company, xpressdocs, Coyote Drive In, and Rahr and Sons Brewing.

"Come on out, slip on a blindfold, and hold on to each other like your life depends on it," said Sturgeon. "We promise an experience that will leave you breathless and help support some great Ft Worth charities," he added.
