Free Pizza for a Year, Twitter, Facebook and Other Ways Washington Realtors at are Marketing Properties in a Recession

Realtors in the Washington real estate market are finding creative ways to draw more potential homebuyers. They're also leveraging social media to market condos and homes for sale.

ISSAQUAH, WA, September 16, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The economy is forcing real estate agents at to get creative to sell condos and homes. Prices on Issaquah condos have been reduced and they are offering other incentives. Beyond dropping prices realtors have found creative ways to draw buyers.

Condos sales in Washington have lagged in recent months and as a result listing prices are down. That means buyers can find a good deal. For example, condos in Issaquah that were selling for $450k last year have dropped $100k in price. The prices have since dropped even more -- 10% from the most recent list price.

To make the deal even better, buyers get free pizza for a year. "It's a good time to find a good deal on an Issaquah condo. Asking prices start at $325k and these particular condos are located just fifteen minutes from Bellevue Washington. During our Fall promotion, buyers will get a large pizza from Zeek's every week for a full year," said Harold Hing, of America's Choice Real Estate.

The condos are two bedroom, 2.5 baths and approximately 1300 square feet. They feature upgrades like granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, territorial views, and vaulted ceilings. An open house to show the condos will be held the weekend of September 19th and 20th, 2009.

Realtors are getting creative to attract buyers. "I've seen some creative ideas from real estate agents in Washington. They are doing things like matching the $8K tax credit, giving free $25 gift cards for visiting their listing, and offering drawings for $150 gift card to Whole Foods," said Hing.

Another marketing tool Incolo is using is participating on social networking web sites. The National Association of Realtors notes that 77% of buyers use the web as a resource to buy a home. Through online tools, buyers and sellers can research homes before contacting a realtor. In addition to blogging, Incolo uses video, and is on Twitter and Facebook.
