Jacqueline P. Cattani has been honored with the rank of chevalier by the Ordre National du Merite Agricole

WELLESLEY, MA, July 16, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Jacqueline P. Cattani, Executive Chef in the Boston Division of the Consulate of France, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in culinary arts.

A chef de cuisine with 37 years of experience, Jacqueline P. Cattani specializes in classic and provincial French, Italian, Haute, Swiss and German cuisine, Viennese pastries, and regional foods of America. As executive chef to new French consul Christophe Guilhou and his family, she is entrusted with manning kitchen operations at the consulate and planning parties and menus with the consul's wife. Mrs. Cattani brings to her position the expertise she acquired from serving under three consuls, and revels in being able to help her new charges adjust to life in the U.S. and orient them to what Massachusetts has to offer.

Prior to joining the French consulate, Mrs. Cattani taught culinary arts at Boston University Metropolitan College and the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts. She also worked as a pastry chef at a restaurant and as a chef for an investment house. Trained by world-renowned chef and writer Madeleine Kamman, she was honored by the Ordre National du Merite Agricole with the rank of chevalier in 2007. She attributes her success to her passion for her profession and the support that she receives from her family.

Mrs. Cattani earned her diploma in 1976 from LaScuola de Cucina Bologna Italia, her professional chef's diploma in 1976 from Modern Gourmet Cooking School, and her nonprofessional diploma in 1974 from the Modern Gourmet Cooking School.
