Janelle Paisley Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Computer-Generated Art

Artist Janelle Paisley's Computer Mosaics Exhibited at Sydney College of the Arts' MFA Exhibition

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, November 16, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Janelle Paisley, artist and post graduate candidate of Sydney College of the Arts, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence throughout her 30 years rewarding career in Visual Arts Education.

From 1960 to 1979 Janelle held the position of Visual Arts Coordinator at Pymble Ladies' College pioneering the concept of having exhibiting artists as specialist teachers on her team. Janelle also held the inaugural elected role of Visual Arts Coordinator for AIS Schools NSW until her retirement. On the 4 Sept 2009 Pymble Ladies College was listed by The Good Schools Guide International magazine, as the only all-girls school in the top five globally.

At an annual PLC Art Exhibition established by Janelle in her first year at PLC the then-Dean of Sydney University's Sydney College of the Arts invited her to consider applying for a Post Graduate degree at SCA. This led to her two exhibitions "ID" & "Trans", and being awarded an MSA (Hons) in 2004.

Then followed her successful MFA Computer Mosaic Exhibition "Doctrine of Signatures" in 2010. Her thesis research was interrupted for sometime by a health challenge but this has provided extended time which has recently led her onto another exciting concept. She has plans for a computer program being developed for family signature objects becoming the focus for computer-generated family portraits/ artworks. She feels that her skills and techniques will prove to be of special interest to all as the aim is to include a system for selection & distribution of cherished family possessions and photographs.

Overall her goal is to empower others to expand their personal creativity incorporating family photos as the medium for computer generated signature images. A percentage of funds generated from sales of her program will be donated to leading Art Schools. In the near future, Ms. Paisley plans to become an established artist.
