Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra to Dedicate Saturday's Concert to Victims of the February 20th Shootings

The Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra announces the dedication of its concert, Al Jarreau in Symphony, this Saturday, February 27 in honor and in memory of all the victims of this past weekend's tragedy in Kalamazoo.

    KALAMAZOO, MI, February 24, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra announces the dedication of its concert, Al Jarreau in Symphony, this Saturday, February 27 in honor and in memory of all the victims of this past weekend's tragedy in Kalamazoo. President and CEO Peter H. Gistelinck and Board Chair, Dr. Janice M. Brown, will make the dedication and offer a moment of silence during the evening's welcoming statements.

"The traumatic events that took place last Saturday evening, leaving many families and friends suddenly without their loved ones, are surreal and heartbreaking for our community." Gistelinck adds, "In light of such tragedy we have seen a community brought together. Kalamazoo area residents have found support and strength from around the globe. The dedication of this performance, to the family and friends of these victims, is the least we can do to show our love and support."
