An accomplished listee, Mr. Becker celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Born and raised in Kalamazoo, MI, Mr. Becker attended Western Michigan University where he received his undergraduate degree in 1963, and an MBA in Finance in 1978. Never straying too far from home, he first worked as a layout draftsman for Argonne National Laboratories in Lemont, IL, and within just a year returned to Kalamazoo to accept a position as an assistant project engineer with Hydreco Company, a division of General Signal Corporation. He then moved into the roles of manager of pharmaceutical manufacturing engineering and manager of facilities engineering. Since 1996, he was a project manager of Pharmacia & Upjohn. Founded in 1886, the company has been integrated into Pfizer, Inc. since 2003.

Mr. Becker currently holds six patents in hydraulics. A longtime member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, he is also a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers where he served on the remote controls and steering subcommittee from 1966 to 1987, and the National Fluid Power Association where he was affiliated with the T3.5 valve section for 20 years and received a Standards Development Award in 1986.

Active in his community earlier in his career, Mr. Becker was chairman of the Cub Scouts of America from 1975 to 1983, and the Galesburg City Planning Commission from 1965 to 1975. Married to Linda Diane Schuyler since 1963 with three children, Mr. Becker enjoys doing automobile restoration and stained glass as hobbies. Notably, his experience in engineering has earned him placement in numerous editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the Midwest, and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America.
