This event was an opportunity to learn more about the use of traditional advertising to leverage and amplify, digital efforts to secure new business while Digital Third Coast (DTC) explained the use of SEO/SEM marketing to generate additional business online.
The presentation began with a State of the Industry/Search from Google that included facts and figures about the Higher Education and Healthcare industries. Google's own Billy Gold explained that 9 out of ten researchers begin their education journey without knowing which school they wish to attend. In fact, mobile queries grew by 27% in the second quarter of 2016. And that 77% of all online health inquiries start from search and further, an astonishing 80% of all patients are interested in online health videos to further augment their own knowledge.
Lyndsey Maddox from Digital Third Coast spoke of the proper use of keywords and website optimization, that when used as a part of A/B split testing can help lead to greater returns overall. Numerous representatives from many Higher Education Institutions and Healthcare facilities in multiple Midwest markets enjoyed a fact filled presentation designed to help them achieve their marketing goals and were then treated to a tour of the new Google offices.
