He previously served as a partner in the law firm of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky & Popeo. Earlier in his career, he served as deputy counsel for LA County for two years. Over the course of the next three decades, Mr. Lathrop joined a number of firms as partner and senior partner, including Macdonald, Halsted & Laybourne, Rogers & Wells, and Adams, Duque & Hazeltine.
A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and the University of Southern California, Mr. Lathrop holds a Bachelor of Science, as well as a JD. A certified arbitrator through ARIAS-US, he affiliates himself with a number of societies, including the American Bar Association, the American Board of Trial Advocates, the San Diego, California and New York Bar Associations, and the Federal Bar Council. During his free time, he enjoys giving back through such organizations as the San Diego Opera Association and the Metropolitan Opera, where he has served in numerous executive roles.
