"Writing children's books is a way for me to give back and be a positive resource to the community. It is a way that I can positively express myself while having some fun and at the same time be a positive role model for both children and caregivers. I am very proud to receive the highest review from Readers' Favorite for my books. Next month, Publisher's Weekly will publish a Q and A on my work."
In the traditions of Walt Disney and Dr. Seuss, Dr. Nicole breathes life into inanimate objects and wildly entertaining characters that engage children in powerful ways. Through the parent/child interaction, her works develop a love for reading while helping children develop the most important skill of all - critical thinking. If a child can master the art of critical thinking, nearly everything else falls into place.
Dr. Nicole's books have won a large number of international awards. A full listing of the awards can be found on her website.
All of Felix and Boobo books have received highly favorable reviews. In a recent review for one of the books, Vernita Naylor, a reviewer for Readers' Favorite stated, "Children have a lot of questions and the books in the Felix and Booboo Series have the answers. To keep your child engaged in learning, Dr. Audet has posed questions for your child to help gauge their understanding of the subject, while giving advice to parents as well." Mamta Madhavan added: "Dr. Nicole Audet's Felix and BooBoo series is a must-have in all homes and school libraries as the author discusses falling sick and visiting the doctor in a fun way, and her characters in these books make the stories interactive for young readers."
