Patricia J. Richardson Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

Ms. Richardson has been endorsed by Marquis Who's Who as a leader in the library science industry



    ISSAQUAH, WA, February 14, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Patricia J. Richardson with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Richardson celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. A dedicated librarian, Ms. Richardson is recognized for her former service to the King County Library System. Prior to her retirement in 2011, she worked as a librarian for children's services for more than a decade. Ms. Richardson is also noted as a former library assistant with the children's department of the Walla Walla Public Library, Microsoft and Yakima Valley Regional Library.

Early in her career, Ms. Richardson received an Associate of Arts from Yakima Valley College in 1963. She went on to pursue formal education at the University of Washington, where she completed a Bachelor of Arts in English in 1966 and Master of Library Science in 1994. A certified librarian in the state of Washington, Ms. Richardson maintains involvement with various industry organizations, including the Washington Library Association, Pacific Northwest Library Association and American Library Association. She is also noted as a former board member of CAYAS, as well as a former chairman and scholar with the Walla Walla chapter of the American Association of University Women.

In recognition of her contributions to the field of library science, Ms. Richardson has been featured in a wide range of honors publications, including the 57th and 60th editions of Who's Who in America, as well as the 21st through 24th editions of Who's Who of American Women. Since her retirement, she has found great enjoyment in oil painting, traveling, gardening, reading, hiking and collecting. During the past few years, she has visited numerous international destinations, including Italy and France.
