PledgeCentsTM Expands Outside of the Classroom to Support the Entire Community

PledgeCentsTM commits to opening up their platform to serve all cornerstones of the community.

PHILADELPHIA, PA, October 12, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- PledgeCents, Inc., known to most as the fundraising site which helps to bring resources and opportunities to classrooms across the country by alleviating funding needs, announced today that it is opening the platform to more types of fundraisers that support communities. Organization benefiting faith-based needs, youth athletics and all others whose work aims to positively impact the community can now enjoy the same benefits including no platform fees, automated tax receipts and elite customer service.

"This is an exciting next step for our entire team. Expanding outside of education to support other needs has been our vision all along, but we have always wanted to be cautious about moving too quickly without fully understanding the individuals and organizations that we aim to help, " said Andyshea Saberioon, CEO of PledgeCents. "Now that we have a proven track record with thousands of schools and non-profits, we are confident that we can bring the same level of service and satisfaction to all members of the community. Whether you're looking to raise money for a mission trip, your child's softball team, the neighborhood park or a school field trip, PledgeCents is here to help you every step of the way!"

The expansion will allow for individuals and organization to post fundraisers for needs that fall under youth athletics, faith-based needs, health needs, student organizations, non-profits working in the community as well as education. PledgeCents has been running pilots for months for needs outside of education prior to making the transition. Most recently, the platform opened its doors to relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. Two large Houston school districts, Spring Branch Independent School District and Katy Independent School District, took advantage of the opportunity to leverage PledgeCents to support the families and employees in their community and have raised more than $250,000 in a few weeks.

"Being a Houstonian myself, it was incredibly impactful to see not only the tragedy unfold, but ever more so the outpouring of support across the city, "said Ricky Johnson, co-founder of PledgeCents. "For me, that drove home just how important communities are and how intertwined the needs of the members of the community are with one another. Now, all those community members have a partner in PledgeCents for whatever arises."
