Sabrina Bailey, Northern Trust Asset Management Global Head of Retirement Solutions, to Receive the 2017 Distinguished Woman Investment Professional of the Year Award

    CHICAGO, IL, September 20, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Women Investment Professionals (WIP), a leading not-for-profit organization for professional women in the institutional investment management industry, today announced it will be awarding its prestigious "Distinguished Woman Investment Professional of the Year" award to Sabrina Bailey, Global Head of Retirement Solutions at Northern Trust Asset Management. The award will be presented at WIP's Annual Trailblazer Dinner on October 26, 2017 at The University Club of Chicago.

The "Distinguished Woman Investment Professional" award seeks to recognize a leading figure for her contributions and achievements in the institutional asset management industry. Nominations for the award recipient are put forth by WIP members and ultimately selected by the WIP Board of Directors.

"Sabrina has deep institutional investment consulting experience, which she applies in serving some of the world's largest retirement plans."

As the Global Head of Retirement Solutions for Northern Trust Asset Management, the 10th largest defined contribution plan manager in the world, Sabrina has responsibility for the development and deployment of Northern Trust's defined contribution strategy globally. Prior to joining Northern Trust, Sabrina served as the U.S. Defined Contribution Segment Leader for Mercer Investments where she helped build Mercer's DC business. Previously, Sabrina held investment consulting and manager research positions with Towers Watson, RogersCasey and Arnerich Massena & Associates.

Sabrina received her BA in Business Economics and Management and MBA in Organizational Leadership from George Fox University. She is a member of the Defined Contribution Institutional Investment Association (DCIIA), serving on the Editorial Review Board and Investment Policy Committee.

WIP's annual Trailblazer Dinner focuses on celebrating women who inspire others to achieve personal and professional excellence. The featured keynote at this year's dinner will be Kathleen Gallagher, the former Benefit Plans Chief Investment Officer of Ford Motor Company. In this role, Kathleen had investment responsibility for approximately $66 billion in Ford Motor Company global retirement assets, including the $41 billion U.S. pension fund, the sixth largest corporate Defined Benefit plan in the country.
