With a blocking voltage of 800V the STR8083 is a unique solid state relay solution for high voltage applications such as medical equipment, aerospace and industrial controls, pump and valve control.
SAN JOSE, CA, September 30, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Solid State Optronics (SSO), a San Jose, California-based manufacturer of high quality optically isolated switching devices such as optocouplers and solid state relays, has announced the availability of a new miniature AC Output Solid State Relay with a high blocking voltage of 800V.
The STR8083 is an AC, single-pole, single-throw, normally open solid state relay in an 8-pin dual inline (DIP) package. The STR8083 has a high blocking voltage (800V) and can handle continuous load currents of up to 1.2A. The device assures no false triggering under adverse conditions and the package construction makes it ideal for high-density board applications. The STR8083 is a unique SSR solution for high voltage applications such as medical equipment, aerospace and industrial controls, pump and valve controls, heating elements and metering equipment.
"The STR8083 and the whole STR device family is the result of us listening to our customers and partners, whose industrial applications are demanding higher voltage and load current ratings in compact packages," said Juan Kadah, Managing Director of Solid State Optronics USA (SSO). "Going forward, we hope to anticipate our customers' needs rather than just respond to them."
Additional STR8083 Product Features and Availability
STR8083 is available now in a DIP8 package, in sample and production quantities and is fully RoHS/Pb-Free/REACH compliant. The device requires low input control current, typically less than 10mA, and provides a high isolation voltage of 3750Vrms minimum.
