LONDON, ENGLAND, June 23, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Stella McCartney opens her first ready-to-wear in-store boutique and a dedicated accessories wall in London's famous Harrods department store in Knightsbridge. The new 103 square meter space is located on the First Floor at the International Designer Collection Rooms and the accessories wall is located in the Luxury Accessories Hall on the Ground Floor. The introduction of ready-to-wear and accessories will complement the existing ranges of lingerie (1st floor), Kids (4th floor), the newly expanded adidas by Stella McCartney (5th floor) and fragrance (ground floor) that have been stocked in Harrods since 2005, to reflect the complete "World of Stella McCartney".
Stella McCartney comments; "Harrods is a very iconic store and it's a British institution, and I think Harrods is a great home for luxury and to be part of that is very exciting."

Stella's ready-to-wear designs are displayed on freestanding fine brass hanging rail installations and sculptural white leaf wall hanging rails that sit along polished concrete walls. Accessories including the popular Falabella handbag, are merchandised in an elegant top lit rhombus tiled recessed brass and felt ledges. Additional products are displayed on freestanding tiled rhombus plinths with bright felt interiors. The space is finished with wood panelled fitting rooms accented with sculptural brass door handles and a bespoke sustainable oak parquet floor in a traditional herringbone pattern designed by Raw Edges. The neutral palette in maple, oak, walnut with brass details is punctuated with shades of pale blue and pink.
The Harrods in-store boutique is designed to complement the successful Stella McCartney flagship store on Bruton Street and the recently opened Fulham Road location. In addition to the new Harrods accessories wall and in-store boutique, Stella McCartney accessories will also be available at Harrods online.
Stella McCartney is a partnership between Ms. Stella McCartney and PPR's luxury division established in 2001 as a 50/50 joint venture. A lifelong vegetarian, Stella McCartney does not use any leather or fur in her designs. The collections include Stella McCartney bag, women's ready-to-wear, accessories, lingerie, eyewear, fragrance and organic skincare. Her first perfume, "Stella", launched successfully in September 2003. The brand's collections are available through 17 other freestanding stores including London, New York, Paris, Milan, Los Angeles, Tokyo and Hong Kong; as well around 600 wholesale accounts in key cities worldwide.
